Hogan Lovells

Defined contribution (DC) half-day workshop

14 May 2014

Hogan Lovells pension team is delighted to invite you to our half-day interactive workshop for pension trustees.
The workshop will be relevant to trustees of all schemes with DC benefits, including defined benefit (DB) schemes with DC additional voluntary contributions (AVCs).

Using interactive case studies and small group discussion, Hogan Lovells speakers and facilitators will focus on dealing with the legal issues faced by those responsible for DC schemes. In particular, we will consider:

  • Pension scheme governance, including the DWP's proposals for minimum governance standards
  • Making investment decisions - the legal aspects
  • Requirements and good practice when communicating with members
  • What to look out for in administration agreements
  • Drawing DC benefits - implications of the Budget 2014

Target audience:  The seminar is aimed at trustees of occupational DC pension schemes (including trustees of DB schemes with DC AVCs) but sponsoring employers and their advisers are welcome as well.
There will be no charge for this workshop. We very much hope you will continue discussions with other delegates and members of our pension team over lunch after the workshop.
Spaces will be limited. To secure your place, please reserve your place as quickly as possible.
